The Grimus Ski Centre is family owned and operated with over 40 years of experience on the mountain. Customer service and satisfaction are our priority. We achieve this by employing the most experienced and qualified staff from Australia and across the world.
The Grimus Ski Centre was created by Mt Buller legend, Hans Grimus, and is the home of Anton Grimus – Proud 2014 Sochi & 2018 PyeyongChang Winter Olympian.
QUALITY EQUIPMENT
The Grimus Ski Centre offers a large range of quality skis, snowboards, boots and helmets plus clothing and snowplay gear. This means we are capable of meeting the needs of all our customers from beginner to expert. All our skis and snowboards undergo advanced tuning by our ski technicians on specialized Wintersteiger tuning machines after every hire, so you can be assured of the excellent performance of our equipment.
LOCATION
Grimus Ski Centre is located only 50 metres from the Mercedes Chairlift and only 100 metres from Ski School. There is also a Village Shuttle bus stop right at our door. Therefore should equipment need adjusting or resizing our location allows these changes to be fast and hassle free, getting students back on the slopes in no time.

Mon – Thurs 8.00 am - 6 pm Friday 8.00 am - 8 pm
Saturday 7.30 am - 6 pm Sunday 7.30 am - 6 pm
COMPLIMENTARY EARLY COLLECTION
Gear can be collected as early as 3:00pm the day before hire begins, giving more time for a relaxed start on the slopes the following day. This is a complimentary service. Our operating times can be flexible to suit your needs.
EASY BOOKING AND RENTAL PROCESS - HIRE
Once your requested dates have been confirmed, you only need to complete one simple set of forms for your group. We take care of the rest. Each person’s equipment is labelled with printed names and barcodes to avoid confusion and mix ups. Our computer rental system allows us to quickly identify the hire status of your equipment at any time. Our rental technicians are efficient and accurate, so you’ll only have to allow about 30 minutes for fitting out and collection of equipment. This turnaround time applies to groups of up to 50 persons.
SAFETY
All our equipment is compliant with the highest safety regulations. Safety equipment such as helmet and wristguards are included in the hire costs for all ski/board rental packages.
DAMAGE WAIVER
We offer an optional 10% additional “Damage Waiver” on ski/boot and board/boot packages. To cover repairable base damage for Premium & Performance Skis and Boards. If this cover is not taken out repair and repairable damage beyond standard use will be charged at our standard Wintersteiger repair rates. However, you will be held responsible for the replacement, at full retail value or as negotiated by Grimus Ski Centre Management, of any equipment significantly damaged, lost or not returned to Grimus Ski Centre by the end of your visit.
